So Why Me, Why This, Why Now?
A few years ago I had a blog, when that was a thing, called The Curiosity Chronicles. It had a pretty decent following and I used it as a vehicle to meander and muse on random things that interested me. It almost became a book. Then I got busy and it drifted, as many things do. But from time to time I’d get a note from someone asking what happened to it.
Times have changed, radically. I feel like I want to write again, and I have a backlog of things to say, things that I’m curious about. But in the middle of all of this – the world, the social media maelstrom, the dopamine craziness – I want my thinking to be more calm in the storm, not another storm in yet another teacup. So to that end – expect a longer essay format with more thought put into it than just some dashed-off opinion. Video and imagery from people I respect. No ChatGPT haiku-em-dash-nonsense. No comments section: tbh I’ve had enough comments to last me a lifetime. No substack, no subscription, no moneys exchanged.
